SHOE SALE VS. STOCKS SALE

"I don't wanna have 50 pairs of good shoes" - Said NO GIRL EVER!
Shoes are a Woman's Weapon, aside from money, lipstick and tears. So whenever there's a SALE in the Mall, we often find ourselves lost between the racks and boxes of shoes. (Insert #PanicBuying and #Hoarding here) It's one of the most euphoric feeling ever, almost like orgasm. You agree? So we buy 8 pairs and use our "magic cards" and we carry those paper bags so proudly until we reach home and the next day, we ask ourselves, "WHAT THE HECK DID I JUST DO LAST NIGHT?" Naka drugs lang Girl?
But did you know that there's also a SALE in the Stock Market, that you could actually get to buy units/shares and ride and with the growth of huge companies like SM, Ayala, Jollibee, PLDT etc.?
Sooo amazing right?
So why we never reacted the same way, whenever there's a "SALE" in the Stock Market?
Number 1. We weren't Informed! Nobody taught us that ordinary people like us could ride on such huge companies. We thought it was just for the elites of the society. I mean even our parents didn't know about it. Even in schools, we weren't taught to participate in this kind of investments. All we know is to find a good job, spend our money, retire and then die.
Number 2. Fear of loss. Every time that the Stock Market goes down we suddenly want to pull out our money not realizing that when the Stock Market is down, it is actually an opportunity to buy more. Because it's SALE. And using Warren Buffett's (One of the Richest guy on Earth!) principle when it comes to investing, "BUY LOW, SELL HIGH", it could give us so much advantage. It could even probably give us 20 more shoes plus make ups and dresses.
Seriously girl, you might want to think about the choices you've been making for the past how many years. Nothing wrong about SHOPPING, because it's also good to reward yourself from time to time. But maybe we should also consider setting up a program for our Financial Lives wherein a part of our income goes to a bucket where it compounds and grows. And from there, probably we can make better choices.
